Antoine and Virginie were both born in France not far from the city of Lyon. They both studied music and instrumental playing at the conservatoire of their hometown.

Antoine also minored in musicology at university.

They both played in numerous orchestras both in France and here in England.

A&V String Duo play for concerts, corporate events, weddings and family events, historical places and charities fund raising events, etc... They have a long experience of playing at functions and have a vast and varied repertoire that will suit any occasion.

They played pieces from Handel's Water Music and Purcell's Fairy Queen for the 2012 Queen's Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Whitsbury (Hampshire).

Since September 2013 they have been musicians at the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum (Bournemouth, England). In the exquisite décor of the museum, once every quarter, A&V String Duo bring back to life the bygone tradition of Palm Court ensembles by playing chamber music and opera potpourris, along with late Victorian and Edwardian music hall numbers, marches, light waltzes, popular hits and ballads.
